Mark worked for Severn Trent for 34 years before retiring in December 2016. Outside of Severn Trent, Mark was an early member of CoPSO, serving on the CoPSO Board for a number of years and through that was a founding Director of the Property Codes Compliance Board. He was also a driving force in the establishment of the Drainage and Water Search Network for the regional water companies. During the run up to the establishment of HIPs he represented both CoPSO and the Water Industry in a number of stakeholder forums and contributed to the final drafting of Regulations as they related to water industry matters.

Mark has as a first degree in Applied Chemistry, an MSc in Environmental Quality Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management.
